Stats – 46% alcohol, from Tuthilltown Spirits, the first distillery in New York since Prohibition
Price – $45 for 375mL
Color – Dark caramel
Nose – Rye bread, cardamon, and sweet licorice
Palate – Bold with a good spicy rye flavor and some bourbon character with a distinct dark cherry taste. This rye is also rich and sweet which adds some dimension. The spice heats up at the finish making this undeniably a rye with the typical anise and cardamon flavors you would expect.
